The BBA – Brazilian International Beer Awards was founded in 2022 in response to the need to position Brazil more prominently within the global brewing industry. Created as a high-level, impartial, and technically rigorous platform, the competition recognizes the quality and diversity of beers produced in Brazil and around the world.
As one of the world’s largest beer-producing and beer-consuming countries, Brazil plays a significant role in the global brewing landscape. The BBA serves as a bridge between markets, fostering knowledge exchange, promoting beer styles, and encouraging brewing excellence while strengthening beer culture and increasing the visibility of breweries among industry experts, consumers, and the international market.
Since its inception, the BBA has grown to become the largest international beer competition in Latin America, bringing together breweries from multiple countries and an internationally recognized panel of judges. More than a competition, the BBA is a platform for education, innovation, and international collaboration, helping breweries benchmark their products against global standards and gain recognition in an increasingly connected beer industry.
